TACHC is holding a two-day event, day one will be an all-day Coding Bootcamp training for clinicians, coders, and billing staff. Both CMEs and CEUs are available for participants. Day two will begin with TACHC updates, the ABCs of provider enrollment, and an MCO Town Hall and Round Table.

Trauma Informed Care (TIC) 504 - Sustain and Spread

True and lasting trauma informed care (TIC) transformation will require ongoing support and participation from all staff of the health center. TIC Trainers will serve as the guide, and will collaboratively navigate this process with the support of peers and TACHC. This final celebratory session provides TIC Trainers with the opportunity to reflect on their learning journey, and the motivation to keep this work moving forward.

Justice, equity, diversity and inclusion (JEDI) are at the very heart of community health center work and critical to the full implementation of trauma informed care. Health centers committed to JEDI work should prioritize centering patient, staff, and community voice, particularly in strategies to directly address existing and historical power dynamics. Our vision for the day is to create and facilitate a safe environment conducive for learners to challenge current beliefs and grow as individuals. This 2nd in-person session is part of the TACHC Trauma Informed Care (TIC) Program and is for participants of the 6th Cohort.

This session is not exclusive to health center CFOs. We extend invitations to CEOs, COOs, and O&E staff to participate in this crucial discussion regarding changes to the STAR+PLUS program. For Medicaid managed care beneficiaries who are adults with disabilities or those aged 65 and above, the STAR+PLUS program will undergo changes in MCOs in most service areas starting September 1, 2024. TACHC is dedicated to ensuring health centers and patients are well-informed for this transition. We will discuss strategies to aid outreach and enrollment, streamline billing processes, and offer support to health center staff during this period of change.
