Ramona Whittington joined TACHC in April of 2014. Ramona’s work at TACHC spans across multiple departments, working with the Legal, Policy, Clinical and HCCN teams. Her work focuses on providing operational support, training and technical assistance to programs related to data collection and analysis, value based care, quality reporting and the Medicare program. Prior to joining TACHC, Ramona worked at the George Washington University Department of Health Policy as a Senior Research Assistant. While at GWU she co-authored several papers on comparative Community Health Center policy, Medicaid, CHIP, and various proposed regulations and legislation. Additionally, Ramona spent several years in Seattle, Washington where she provided policy and legal analysis within the Washington State Hospital Association, drafted and successfully lobbied for legislation with the Washington Legislature and provided contractual support in the development of a Health Plan and Community Health Center network. She has also spent time working in political campaigns and within the Texas State Legislature. From Harlingen, Texas, Ramona graduated from Drew University with a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy. She received her Master of Public Health with a Public Policy concentration from the George Washington University and her Doctor of Jurisprudence with a concentration in Health Law from the University of Washington School of Law.
