Get Involved

Civic Engagement is the process of educating our health center staff, patients, board members and community supporters to incite them to take action in support of our health centers in order to create a healthier Texas. Civic Engagement at your health center can take many forms, including:

  • Educating yourself and others about important issues
  • Writing to or visiting your local, state or federal elected representatives
  • Writing letters to the editor or working with media to better inform your community
  • Coming together with friends and neighbors to identify and solve community challenges and
  • Perhaps most importantly voting in every election!

Engaging our patients, staff and board members is key to the success of our health centers. Our health centers are stronger when we have broad support from communities across the state and when patients are involved in advocating for their own health and the health of their community.

TACHC works to educate our patients on the issues affecting health centers and provide opportunities to get involved and make their voices heard.
