The Innovations in Crisis Response webcast will give health centers the opportunity to learn more about how first responders are using online crisis mapping to connect, understand and work in new and more efficient ways. Direct Relief's Andrew Schroeder will discuss disasters maps, which provide information about where populations are located, how they are moving, and where they are checking in safe during a natural disaster. Attendees will also hear from Bryn Blanks about how Facebook's crisis response and fundraising tools can help improve emergency communications for individuals and organizations alike. A detailed demonstration of how to access Facebook's Community Help page to offer or request help from those in crisis and an overview of how to set up a fundraiser to raise money for your cause will be discussed. Attendees will also learn about the new Facebook group for health centers to connect and share information related to emergency preparedness and crisis response.
