Jana Eubank serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the Texas Association of Community Health Centers (TACHC). She oversees the implementation of strategic priorities for the Association and works with the TACHC Board of Directors to provide direction and leadership in achieving TACHC’s mission and vision. Jana has a demonstrated track record of commitment to underserved and marginalized communities with 30 years of experience through her work in health care policy, government relations, leadership development, strategic planning, fundraising, association management and grassroots advocacy in Texas and nationally. A native Texan, Jana earned her undergraduate degree in political science from the University of North Texas and a masters of public affairs degree from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin. She is also an alumna of the University of California at Los Angeles/Johnson & Johnson Health Care Executive Program. Jana began her career at the Texas Office of State-Federal Relations as the Director of Federal Grants working with state and local governments to secure additional federal resources for health and human services in the state. In 1993, she joined TACHC as the Deputy Director and was responsible for association fundraising, strategic planning, and federal and state level policy and advocacy. She also initiated programs and services at TACHC to support health center leadership development, outreach and enrollment, and efforts to support health care delivery and insurance coverage for homeless individuals and agricultural workers in Texas. In 2013, she was tapped to be the Vice President of Public Policy and Research at the National Association of Community Health Centers, where she led community health center policy and advocacy efforts in Washington, DC and was tasked with working with all state/regional primary care associations around the country, payers and policymakers to better position health centers to participate in value-based care initiatives at the federal and state levels. Due to her steadfast commitment, Jana has been the recipient of various national and state awards for her advocacy work on behalf of health centers and patients and she continues to actively advocate that access for all individuals to health care services is a human right.
