Clinical Care & Emergency Management Coordinator

As Clinical Care & Emergency Management Coordinator, Christina is the lead for TACHC’s Emergency Management Program (EMP). Christina provides health centers with training, technical assistance, and resources to support their ability to prepare for, respond to, and recover from an emergency or disaster. Christina assists health centers engage in emergency management and preparedness readiness activities and requirements. As Clinical Care Coordinator, Christina also leads the development of care coordination programs and clinically relevant trainings and communication materials for health center clinical and HCCN staff.  Christina comes to TACHC from the National Center for Farmworker Health (a HRSA NTTAP) where she was responsible for distance learning services, including webcasts and conference coordination. Christina also managed local community outreach and CHW/Promotora programs within NCFH. This included a promotora curriculum training program and outreach activities for NCFH patient navigators who aided Medicaid and CHIP members in Central Texas. Prior to her move to the Austin area, Christina worked as the Community Outreach Coordinator at the Community Health Center of Lubbock for 10 years. Christina’s past professional experience also includes program development, health education and health center training and technical assistance. She received a BS in Organization Management and is a licensed nurse and Certified Community Health Worker/Promotora Instructor in the State of Texas.
