Medical Supplies

The Texas Association of Community Health Center's medical supplies program is now collaborating with the National Association of Community Health Center's business development affiliate Community Health Ventures (CHV) on their Value in Purchasing (ViP) program.  This is bringing even greater access to savings and quality to the program for health centers.

CHV was founded in 2000, CHV was created under the direction of health center leadership and tasked with creating workable solutions to the tremendous economic pressures facing today’s health centers. By negotiating group purchasing agreements that achieve better pricing, service, and contractual terms for the products and services health centers use on a daily basis, CHV helps health centers reduce costs and remain competitive.  Click here to view the press release announcing the TACHC/CHV Collaboration.

When a member utilizes the ViP program, there is a choice of vendors available for the purchase of the medical supplies.  Currently, TACHC has contracts with Henry Schein Medical Supplies and Physician Sales and Service.  To learn more about each vendor, click on its name below.

A price analysis can be conducted to determine the degree of savings available to a health center.
