Tejas Health Care is a not for profit organization committed to serving the people in need of health care services in Fayette and neighboring Lee County. Tejas is governed by a Board of Directors that includes actual clients of the services provided. Discounted fees for services are available for eligible clients. Private insurance, Medicaid and CHIPs are gladly accepted. Many clients are eligible for basic services with assistance from grants.

Tejas Health Care services include diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic conditions, preventive health services that promote wellness, health education services and disease risk assessments for all age groups. A sliding schedule of fees, that is based on family size and documentation of income, is available for services that are provided in the clinic. Participation in the Texas Health Steps Program ensures comprehensive well child check ups with emphasis on prevention and disease risks for specific age groups. Immunizations are available for established clients with low cost affordable vaccines through the Vaccines for Children Program.

To be determined eligible for a discount or grant funded service a person must be screened with regard to family size and income. A person must not be eligible for other programs or have another form of insurance. To determine eligibility, please make an appointment with our financial case manager and be prepared to bring documentation.
