Community Health Centers of South Central Texas, Inc.

This Health Center was chartered in 1974 but has been providing health services to the people of Gonzales County since 1966, and later in 2000 in Caldwell County. The service area has been designated as a Medically Underserved Area, Health Professional Shortage Area and as a Medically Underserved Population. The Health Center maintains two service sites and provides services such as pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, social services, family planning, HIV/AIDS testing and counseling, health education, nutrition counseling, WIC, transportation assistance, immunizations, and obstetrics. In 2003, the Health Center began to offer on-sight Behavioral Health and in 2004, Dental Services. The Health Center also has programs in place for specialist physician referrals, dental referrals, and referrals for substance abuse and mental health counseling.
