Austin/Travis County Community Health Centers
Health care that listens to the Austin community.
The Community Health Centers (CHC) help ensure access to primary medical and dental care for those who have difficulty obtaining services due to economic or geographic barriers. Patients served include the uninsured and those enrolled in Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, and the City/County Medical Assistance Program (MAP).
The Community Health Centers (CHC) are designated as “Federally Qualified” and meet all federal regulations. The current service area is Travis County.
All CHC patients are financially screened to determine eligibility for services. If a patient is determined eligible for services but does not qualify for established assistance programs, he or she may qualify for discounted fees. Clinic services are not free, but no one is refused service based on the ability to pay. For more information, contact the central eligibility office at 972-5250.
